Introducing Field — Built for the Trades, Priced Like We Mean It

Introducing Field — Built for the Trades, Priced Like We Mean It
It's been a minute since I've posted here. Not because there's nothing to say, the opposite, actually. We've been heads-down building, and today I get to share the first big piece of it: Field is live.
If you don't know me yet, I'm Pete, founder of TRAXS Group LLC. My wife Robin runs marketing and operations. We're a small team building software for small teams, and Field is the first product out the door.
What Field Actually Does
Field is field service management software for the businesses that keep everything running — HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair. If you've ever dispatched a technician from a group chat, tracked parts on a legal pad, or dug through a shoebox of receipts to figure out why a job wasn't profitable, Field is for you.
It handles the whole loop: a call comes in, a ticket gets created, a technician gets dispatched with the right info in hand, parts get logged against the job, and an invoice goes out the door, without four different systems bolted together with duct tape and group texts.
Why I'm Building This
I didn't start TRAXS Group because I thought the world needed another SaaS company. I started it because I kept seeing the same pattern: small service businesses running on paper tickets, spreadsheets, and WhatsApp groups — not because the owners are behind the times, but because the software built to fix this problem was never built for them. It was built for enterprises with IT departments and thousand-dollar-a-month budgets, then trickled down to small businesses at a price and complexity that never made sense.
That gap is the whole reason TRAXS Group exists. A few things I've held onto since day one, not as marketing language but as actual constraints on how I build:
It has to be useful on day one. If a technician needs a training class to figure out how to close a ticket, I've already lost. Software for a five-person HVAC crew doesn't get to have a learning curve.
Pricing has to feel fair, not just competitive. I don't want to build a product that nickel-and-dimes a business owner for every seat, every feature, every month they grow. Field starts at $99/month — not as an introductory "gotcha" price that jumps once you're locked in, but because I think that's what this software should actually cost for a small shop.
Field techs don't need another app to install. Field runs as a mobile app right from the browser, no app store, no download. A technician can add it to their home screen in one tap and get a full native-like experience. It works offline too: today's tickets, client details, and job history are all cached, so a tech in a basement or a dead zone can still pull up a ticket, update its status, and snap a photo of a part for the record. Everything syncs the second a signal comes back.
We build to last. I'm not interested in shipping something fast and duct-taping it together to hit a launch date. I want to still be proud of this code, and still be running this company, in ten years.
Who This Is For
If you're running a service business with somewhere between 2 and 25 technicians and you're tired of losing time (and money) to disorganization, Field was built with you specifically in mind. Not "SMB" as a market segment on a slide, you, the person who's probably reading this on a phone between jobs.
That's the throughline for everything Traxs Group is building. Field is the first product, but it won't be the last, the goal is a full operating system for small businesses that never once makes you feel like you're paying enterprise prices for a fraction of enterprise support.
